The Benefits of Getting Monthly Facials

Most people do not understand the amazing benefits of receiving a monthly facial and what a huge difference it can make in your skin's health. Most people wait until they have a skincare issue/concern (hyperpigmentation, breakouts, dry/flakey skin) to arise before seeking help from an esthetician when being proactive about your skin health can prevent a lot of these frustrating skin concerns and getting the proper tools and education for your at-home regimen.

One of the greatest benefits of getting a monthly facial is increased circulation. Facials can assist in the renewal of your skin by stimulating blood flow underneath the skin, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the surface while pushing the toxins out. Good blood flow and circulation can also decrease the puffiness and fluid buildup caused by the lymphatic system.

With increased circulation of the skin, comes anti-aging properties. Increasing your cellular turnover rate slows down the aging process. Collagen is naturally produced, but the rate at which it is produced begins to decline around the age of 25. Including a monthly facial massage into your routine can stimulate new collagen to be made and can increase facial muscle strength, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles and producing softer, and firmer skin.

Another important benefit of getting a monthly facial includes a deep cleanse. Our everyday cleansers may not be cutting it. It’s important to reset and detoxify the skin to achieve long-lasting results. Monthly facials will allow your skin to breathe by removing the dirt and oil buildup that everyday cleansers are not taking care of, leaving you with refreshed and renewed skin.

And lastly everyone’s favorite, relaxation! Monthly facials allow you to create time for yourself to relax and reset. Facials are not only relaxing for your skin but also for your mind. Taking the time to focus on your breathing and enjoy the little break in your day, can have lasting improvements in your overall mood.
