When we think of healthy nutrition, we often think of depriving ourselves of the foods we love, limiting our calorie intake, and feeling hungry all of the time. This comes from what society teaches us about health and wellness....the "diet mentality." Integrative Nutrition takes into consideration so much more than traditional diets do. Rather than depriving ourselves, punishing our bodies and pushing through with will-power, let's learn to embrace food and the many tastes, textures and pleasure it can offer!
With Integrative Nutrition Coaching, we will consider your unique needs and goals. We will explore the basics of nutrition, but more importantly we will work together to better understand your personal relationship with food. Sometimes it is less about what you are eating, and more about why you make the food choices you do. Your food choices (what, when, why and how much you eat) are often associated with your mental, spiritual, emotional or physical health. Following the rules of the next diet plan may seem easier, but the time and energy required to make long-term lifestyle changes and heal your relationship with your body and with food will be well worth it!
